U POTRAZI ZA BOZIJOM CESTICOM

Predavac ce biti prof. dr Dragan Popovic, direktor Instituta za fiziku u Beogradu.

Sazetak predavanja: Predavanje je posveceno najvecem eksperimentu u istoriji ljudskog roda koji ce 21. oktobra 2008. godine poceti sa radom. Na dubini od sto metara ispod Zemlje, u institutu CERN u Zenevi, naucnici ce simulirati veliki prasak iz koga je postao citav univerzum. Naucnici ocekuju da ce u eksperimentu biti detektovana i takozvana “bozija cestica” koja je odgovorna za objasnjenje mase ostalih cestica.

Predavanje ce biti odrzano u cetvrtak, 15. maja 2008. godine, u amfiteatru Prirodno-matematickog fakulteta u Nisu (ul. Visegradska 33) sa pocetkom u 20 casova. Ulaz je slobodan.

Pre predavanja, u 19.00 casova, ce poceti dodela nagrada ucenicima osnovnih i srednjih škola, za uspehe postignute na takmicenjima iz fizike.
