U uvodnom delu vecerasnjeg predavanja predstavljen je ovaj, nov, sajt astronomskog drustva.
Kao sto je receno, mogucnosti koje ovaj sajt pruza su visestruke u poredenju sa starom verzijom. Pozivam sve posetioce, clanove AD Alfa i ljubitelje astronomije, uopste da doprinesu kreiranju ovog sajta svojim predlozima, pitanjima i sugestijama.
Ideja je da sajt zameni i dosadasnju mail listu. Registrovani clanovi ce redovno dobijati obavestenja o predtojecim aktivnostima putem e-maila, a za one koji vole savremenije tehnologije tu je i RSS feed.
Slajdove sa uvodnog dela predavanja (o sajtu, spustanju Feniksa na Mars i pomenutim linkovima) mozete da preuzmete u PDF formatu.

Tranzit Venere je aktivno propraćen i u Nišu (8. jun, 2004.). Šaljem Vam prvi web album sa gotovim snimcima koje sam snimao uz pomoć Maksutova 1000/100, sa Baader filterom, uz pomoć okulara od 25 mm metodom afokalnog snimanja uz pomoć adaptera i naravno, digitalnog aparata Canon A80.
U pripremi je i detaljan album na kojem će tačno biti dato vreme snimanja sa ostalim parametrima snimanja.Snimanje je obavljeno sa posebne lokacije u Nišu, tj. krova zgrade u mom komšiluku čemu su takođe prisustvovale u svojstvu posmatrača i asistenata Miljana i Ana Mančić, takođe članovi našeg društva. Mogu Vam reći da je borba sa niškim i brzim oblacima bila opaka ali smo konačno uz našu upornost mogli smo da odradimo fizički 145 fotosa.
U isto vreme sa početkom u 10,00 h na lokaciji kod rimskih spomenika u tvrđavi, obavljeno je i posmatranje za javnost indirektnom projekcijom i uz pomoć zaštitnih naočara. Posmatranje je predvodio predsednik našeg društva prof. dr Dragan Gajić.

AD Alfa je ovog proleća, od 21. do 23. maja, organizovalo prvi niški astronomski praktikum. Predavanja koja su bila pokrivena u ova tri dana su bila: sazvežđa, rad sa teleskopom, posmatranja planeta. Fotografije sa ovog astro dešavanja možete videti u prigodnom foto-albumu.

Povodom pomračenja Meseca, naše društvo je organizovalo predavanje sa posmatranjem. Predavanju je ovoga puta prisustvovalo pedesetak zainteresovanih. Faktor lošeg vremena i visoka oblačnost sa povremenom kišom je znatno omela sadržajnije i vizualno bogatije propraćivanje ovog astromskog dogadjaja što se odrazilo kako na broj prisutnih na predavanju (predavač je bio naš član Nikola Naumović) i posmatranju, tako i na sam ugodjaj. Samo na trenutke je moglo da se onako kroz oblake uoči faza pomračenja. Nije bilo moguće primetiti bilo kakve Mesečeve detalje, te stoga mi ovoga puta nemamo fotografije ovog dogadjaja, osim sa samog predavanja. Nadamo se da ćemo sledećom prilikom biti srećniji u pogledu pomatračkih uslova.
