Sa našim prijateljima iz niškog Odreda Izvidjača “Djuka Dinić”, Astronomsko društvo Alfa je odradilo posmatračku akciju u vidu popularizacije astronomije 30. aprila. Tačnije, pomenutih četrdesetak izvidjača iz ovog odreda, mladjeg uzrasta, nalazi se na bivakovanju (šatori, kamp …) u selu Lipovac kod Aleksinca, u neposrednoj blizini manastira “Sveti Stefan” (kraj XIV veka).
U poseti je bio Miodrag Sekulić ispred našeg društva koji je sa sobom poneo svoj maksutov teleskop. Tamo smo na licu mesto imali jedno kraće predavanje o amaterskoj astronomiji, teleskopima, posmatranjima. Bilo je prilično oblačno ali smo ipak uspeli da odradimo posmatranje Meseca, Jupitera. Tom prilikom smo dogovorili i buduću saradnju i njihovu skoru posetu na našoj prvoj narednoj akciji, predavanju i posmatranju pomračenja Meseca u utorak, 4. maja. Nadajmo se da će prisustvo momaka i devojaka iz ovog odreda značajno obogatiti i članstvo u našem društvu, kao i to da ćemo dobiti nove kolege i saradnike, pod zvezdama.
